How I spent my Summer Vacation

There wasn’t actually much vacating done. It was more of an All Present and Accounted For summer, rx full of all kinds of creative endeavor.

With my producing partners in Northern California, seek  Rich Fox and Elizabeth Turnerfox, I created the original story for a new feature I will write – an American-Chinese romantic comedy called “The Girl from Cleveland“, . At the moment we are having it translated into Mandarin and, using Elizabeth and Rich’s extensive connections in China and ours here in Los Angeles, we are now in the process of securing financing for the project.

I also spent the summer getting my latest screenplays – “Meant To Be“, “Permission“, and “The House at Otowi Bridge” – in the hands of people who can help make them happen. Exciting news will be forthcoming. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, over the course of the summer I led 4 “One Fine Day” workshops and have continued to work with private clients on a wide variety of projects in film, television, fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Their work has been nothing short of extraordinary and, as always, a pleasure and a privilege to be part of it.
